1st Post: Generation of Ideas

I have decided to use 2 skills for my IS 2, which are acting and sound.
I have also decided to do it in a monologue style, where the sound will be played along while i act.

Reason as to the choice of skills:
Firstly acting for my skill is of upmost priority as i want to do acting next year for A level, and this is my last chance to prove my capability. I have decided to use sound as a skill as apart from other skills, as sound is the most suitable skill to mix with acting.

Choice of script/Ideas:
I have decided to write my own monologue, as i was inspired by a few plays i found, and also because of my own personal experience.Thus i want to write my own story. Basically, i will be playing a mad/insane character, who sought to find his family members and be in unity. His family members,wife and a daughter however left him a few years ago just because of his financial status, a road sweeper. The main topic here is about financial stability within a family which can result in a broken home. I want to play a mad/insane character as i find these people in reality interesting to learn from. They are insane YES but come to think of it in a positive manner, they are pitiful. They do not know that they are even insane, and the result of their condition is because of some external problems, and not entirely their fault.

Thus, from here, i must 1st write my own monologue by learning the techniques of writing one.
